If there's one thing I learned from this piece, it's that I should never ever do digital art for an art exhibit ever againnnnnnnnnnn :icontuzkidramaplz:

This humongous thing took at least a month to finish and I kept getting the procrastination vibes in between hahahaha and my hand hurt really really badly after working on all the details  fjdaslkhfeawl orz
....but at least it's finished! To be honest, I'm not that happy with the colors - I had to tone everything down a bit to make it look 'realistic' (cause who would want to see color vomit in a fine arts exhibit?;;; ) but ehhh it's not my taste XD I think I'll go with the flow and do oil painting from now on, and use my digital art for more personal uses! :icondojimathumbsupplz:

There's not much to explain about this piece, really - just me as a college student looking through my old diary and reminiscing a few bits of scenic memories from my high school days: the cherry blossoms that bloom at the school entrance in the spring, hanging out with friends in the school courtyard, walking down the hallways in the late afternoon, playing badminton during P.E., taking exams (THIS THING TOOK ME FOREVER never again am I going to draw more than three people in one scene), the school bulletin board near the top of the stairs, the science lab, and last of all - graduation. *v*

It was a fun challenge to do all the different backgrounds, though really grueling haha!! I had the chance to try out a lot of different techniques while doing this piece, which was pretty much what I was aiming for. I think I've gotten faster at coloring people and hair too - gotta use that skill for future works!

I really like the atmosphere of these scenes, everything is so calm and light. Especially the hallways and the tendrils, bathed in afternoon sunlight. Excellent work!
